Mesothelioma Cancer Mesothelioma is a form of cancer that develops in the linings surrounding various organs. This includes the pleura, peritoneum and the pericardium. It can also form in the tunica vaginalis (testicular). Asbestos is the primary risk factor for mesothelioma. It can be caused by a genetic mutation or exposure to radiation.
